In snapshot 24w45a a new way to customize item models called “display_context” was added, thanks to this it is now possible to use different models for the same item depending on the context, something like trident and spyglass (which now use this same new system).
With this new system I decided to combine the bed icons that were used in old versions (with updated textures) with the 3d models that are used in the recent versions.
the 2d icons will be shown in:
- gui
- grond
- item frames
the 3d models will be shown in:
- first person hands
- third person hands
- head
