Simply Legacy is an in-house alternative to Re-Console designed to bring a more vanilla-focused, close-to-home Legacy Console Edition experience. Just you and your worlds, as they would've been played back then, with the years of vanilla content updates on top.
Like Re-Console, Simply Legacy uses the Legacy4J mod, which re-adds all the old Legacy Console Edition features, from the old washed out gamma to the old crafting menu.
Legacy Console Edition accuracy
Just like Re-Console, Simply Legacy includes much of the original feature set from LCE, including the crafting menu, gamma, creative menu and more!
Unlike Re-Console, however, Simply Legacy is strictly focused on keeping the experience closer to vanilla, as well as Legacy Edition's last versions, so features such as connected textures, voice chat, dynamic lighting, etc. are not included.
Up to Date
Simply Legacy is quick to release with bug-fixes and new content, with a focused "single loader-single version" updates strategy. Releases will be tied to updates for Minimega and Legacy Skins (after 1.1.0), both of which are always up to date with the latest stable Legacy4J.
This means the version you download will always be the latest and greatest version available!
Built-in SMP
Simply Legacy comes built in with the Re-Console SMP, the officially ran Survival Multiplayer Server for Re-Console, with an active community and active updates!
Open Source
Just like Re-Console, Simply Legacy is comprised of only open-source or source-available mods, which gives you the ability to see the code and contribute to the mods in the pack. Simply Legacy is also available on GitHub as a packwiz project.
