Why does a mod I am using depend on Banana Lib?

The mod relies on Banana Lib to manage configuration files.

What does Banana Lib do?

Many mods need a way to save, update, and load settings.
Banana Lib assists with this by:

• Providing a ConfigOption abstraction to create and interact with options easily.
• Providing a Config abstraction to encapsulate access to ConfigOptions.
• Handling JSON serialization and deserialization.
• Handling File writing and reading.
